Somerset Hoodie dress.

I should totally be showing boy things.  It's Celebrate the Boy month, and everyone across the Internet is making fabulous boy stuff.  Plus, I have that February goal, which I have not come anywhere close to meeting (though Celebrate the Boy month didn't start until mid-February, so I may still make it during Boy month).  But for now I'm going to show PINK.

This is the Mama Stellato Somerset Hoodie pattern, turned into a dress:

It's a fun pattern, very easy and quick to assemble.  I made a size 6, which is a bit big for Big Sister right now.  It's just as well, since Spring is pretty much here and we've mostly moved on to short sleeves.  It will be perfect next Winter though, I think.  Unfortunately, it means that I can't get an accurate view of this on a person until then.  Oh well.  It's cute hanging in the closet.

I added a lined hood, which is slightly bulky and heavy, but I prefer the look.

I also took at least 1.5 inches off the bottom of the hoodie, since I was making this a dress.  I probably should have taken off a little more.  The skirt and pocket are taken from the Mamu Design Sabrina dress. Fabric (both main and trim) is cotton interlock from Joann, which has some good knits every now and then.

  1. Thanks for sharing. I am laying out my pieces to cut this out right now. I was debating on whether to line the hood or not. I think I will.

  2. That is so cute! I think hoodie dresses are the coolest thing ever.
